ERIS

ERIS dethroned Pluto as a planet when discovered in 2005. Named after the greek goddess of strife and discord, Eris' discovery brought strife to Pluto, as the doorway to the dwarf planet dimension of the world between life and death, Eris made her wrath known and her capacity to evade authority and disrupt the order of things.
​
In astrology, the house and sign of Eris is where you find the disruptive destructive shadow that needs to be brought into control so that your creation does not destroy, disrupt and cause separation. As when a great power is yielded to create, a great power is also yielded to destroy. That power must be brought into consciousness or risk destruction and ruin.
